Writing Goddess on 2013 Addy Award-Winning Team

Fritz Creative Marketing Wins Seven Coastal California ADDY® Awards

Santa Barbara, CA (March 30, 2013) – Local marketing and design firm Fritz Creative Marketing (FCM) received seven American Advertising Federation Santa Barbara (AAFSB) 2013 Coastal California ADDY® awards at the annual ceremony held at Center Stage Theater on March 13, 2013.
“We are delighted that the AAF Coastal California ADDY committee chose to recognize these projects,” says Kathy Bryant, FCM President and Art Director. “Our team of marketing experts always strives to balance creative inspiration with strategic thinking to generate the most effective results for our clients.”
The marketing agency was recognized with two Silver and five Bronze ADDY Awards, representing work for four clients in four competitive categories. Silver awards went to: Westerlay Orchids Hangtags – Sales Promotion, Packaging; and New Beginnings Counseling Center Annual Appeal Mailer – Direct Marketing, Business-to-Business or Consumer. Westerlay is a commercial orchid grower in Carpinteria, CA, and New Beginnings is a Santa Barbara-based non-profit agency.
A total of five FCM projects won Bronze ADDY Awards. Three of these were developed for client Antioch University Santa Barbara (AUSB) in collaboration with Steve Weir,Director of Communications and Enrollment: “I Chose Antioch” Print Testimonial Advertising – Newspaper, Color; Holly Near Fundraiser – Advertising, Campaign, Single Medium Campaign; and AUSB Summer Writing Institute Logo – Elements of Advertising, Visual.
FCM’s remaining Bronze ADDY Awards were both earned for logo designs in the Elements of Advertising, Visual category: Westerlay Orchids Logo and WaterWise Logo. The WaterWise logo and tagline were created to represent the cooperative water conservation efforts of 17 north and south Santa Barbara County water agencies.
Teri Breier, copywriter, contributed her concept development and copywriting expertise to several of the winning entries, including the AUSB newspaper ads, WaterWise tagline and New Beginnings mailer, and production support was provided by Monika Petroczy. Filling out FCM’s team of experienced creative professionals are Naseem Hyder, web developer, and Kim McIntyre, project manager.
AAFSB presented more than 100 ADDY Awards to Central Coast businesses and marketing agencies, selected from an undisclosed number of total entries.
